Ships can feel seaquakes and tsunamis depending on their location. Near coastlines, tsunamis can be destructive, but in deep ocean, they're often undetectable. Earthquakes can also send shockwaves that violently shake ships.

Researchers Collaborate to Study Marine Mammal Behavior

SOCAL-10 researchers studied how marine mammals off Southern California respond to ocean sounds, including Navy sonar. Over two months, they tagged 44 animals from nine species, gathering vital behavioral and acoustic data.
