Scientists Discover Four New Species of Deep-Sea Dwellers

Scripps researchers named four new deep-sea “Elvis worms” with iridescent scales. Found near whale falls and vents, the species show unique gills and even scale-biting fights. DNA confirmed them as distinct species.
