A University of Leeds–led study, with contributions from UC San Diego’s Helen Amanda Fricker, reviewed decades of satellite data showing that Antarctica’s glaciers are flowing faster as ice shelves thin or collapse—especially in West Antarctica and the Antarctic Peninsula—driving sea level rise.
